Open Doors Exhibit: Vision of Change: Artistry in Action

For several years, the Open Doors Music and Arts Initiative has turned its view outward to celebrate the contributions of diverse cultures to a rapidly evolving world.  By engaging the "otherness" of these groups, we have sought to deepen our understanding of the world outside of our "bubble" and somehow become better citizens of the world.  The goal was lofty but the visual artists, musicians, and dancers we engaged shared in our desire to better understand the world, and bridges, connections, and friendships were born over time.

This exhibition turns our focus inward, asking members of our own First Pres and local Ann Arbor community to share their own perspectives on the topic of change, social change specifically.  As we travel together through a changing world, it is important to understand not only how others see the world, but how we respond to the same changes.  Does our view…
