Location & Parking

First Presbyterian Church is located at 1432 Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Parking spaces are limited. We invite families with small children and those who have difficulty walking to park in the church parking lot. Accessible parking spaces are available. We encourage all others to park in the Forest Avenue parking structure that is located a short one-block walk from the building and is free of charge on Sundays and holidays.

Can I Visit a Faith Formation Class?

Yes! At 10:45 am every Sunday, classes meet in various classrooms throughout the church. All are more than happy to welcome visitors.

Sundays for Young Children

At First Presbyterian Church, we celebrate and warmly welcome children of all ages. We encourage families to worship together at every service, regardless of age or attention span.

On Sundays from 9 am to noon, we provide Childcare and Faith Formation for infants through fifth grade.

Elementary-Age Children

We especially encourage elementary-age children to participate in Sunday services with their family and Church community. Faith Formation is offered on Sunday mornings at 10:45 am.

Youth

Sunday mornings include Faith Formation opportunities for middle school, high school, and our Confirmation youth. Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm our Middle and High School Youth Group meets for dinner, games, and a devotion. Bring a friend, all are welcome!

Membership

New Member Class

Our New Member Class is an opportunity to learn more about the mission, beliefs, and community of First Pres. In this welcoming session, we’ll explore what it means to be a member of our church, answer any questions you may have, and discuss ways to connect, grow, and serve. Whether you’re new to First Pres or simply considering membership, this class is a chance to meet others, hear from our pastors, and discover how you can be part of our faith journey together.

Fast Track to Membership

Everyone is welcome at First Pres! Formal membership, however, gives you voice and vote in congregational meetings and affirms your commitment to the church community. Fast-Track to Membership is a 20-minute meeting with a pastor and an elder after Sunday worship, where you can quickly begin the joining process.

For questions, contact Rev. Melissa Anne Rogers at (734) 662-4466, ext. 390.
