Mature Ministries offers a variety of fun and engaging trips designed for older adults to explore new places, enjoy fellowship, and create lasting memories. Whether a day trip to a local destination or an extended outing, each experience is thoughtfully planned to combine adventure, learning, and community. Our trips are accessible, enriching, and always filled with laughter and good company!

Jackson & Grass Lake

Join Mature Ministries on Wednesday, November 12, for “Hidden in Plain Sight,” an outing that celebrates the nearby treasures of Jackson and Grass Lake. Enjoy a full day of fellowship, history, and delicious food!
Itinerary highlights:

Michigan Theater, Jackson – Tour the grand and newly restored movie palace, a gem of early 20th-century architecture.

Gilbert’s Chocolates Factory Tour – A behind-the-scenes look (and taste!) at a beloved family-owned candy maker celebrating nearly 100 years in business.

Lost Railway Museum, Grass Lake – Step into a restored railcar and experience a fascinating Virtual Reality recreation of Michigan’s vanished interurban railways.

Lunch at Knight’s in Jackson – Choose from chicken taco salad, prime top sirloin, or flash-fried jumbo shrimp. (Vegetarian option available—just let Mel know.)
Cost: $60 (includes lunch, bus transportation, and donations to the Michigan Theater and Lost Railway Museum). Please bring cash for a driver tip.
