Mature Ministries offers a variety of fun and engaging trips designed for older adults to explore new places, enjoy fellowship, and create lasting memories. Whether a day trip to a local destination or an extended outing, each experience is thoughtfully planned to combine adventure, learning, and community. Our trips are accessible, enriching, and always filled with laughter and good company!

Tiles, Tastes, and Treasures: A Day in Detroit & Hamtramck

Tuesday, April 22
9 am - 4:30 pm

 

Join us for a special trip to Pewabic Pottery in Detroit! Enjoy a guided tour of the historic studio and create your own Pewabic tile. Afterward, we’ll head to Hamtramck for a Polish feast at Polonia Restaurant, a stop at New Palace Bakery, and a visit to Hamtramck Disneyland folk art installation. 

Accessibility: Must climb stairs—no elevator

 

Cost: $90 (includes transportation, admission, and lunch).

Belle Isle & Beyond

Tuesday, May 20

9:15 am - 4:00 pm

 

Join us for a guided bus tour of Belle Isle, Detroit’s 900+ acre historic park! We’ll explore gardens, the Belle Isle Aquarium, the Conservatory, Scott Fountain, Peace Carillon, and historic monuments before enjoying a buffet lunch at the exclusive Detroit Yacht Club.

After lunch, we’ll stop at John K. King Used & Rare Books for some literary treasure hunting.

Accessibility: Fully accessible, minimal walking

Cost: $90 (includes admission to Belle Isle, guided tour, buffet lunch, and transportation)
